<For sale>

I'm a big fan of Thinkpad. I'm currently using T42p, x41(with Mtron ssd 32gb), and Macbook.
I used to have x60, R52 and T42.

I wanted to keep this x40 but I don't use it much because of the other three ones.

IBM X40 2371-J4U
_1.5 Ghz Pentium M
_512MB of memory
_40 GB Hard Disk
_Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG
_12" LCD
_Genuine Windows XP Pro with Ghost XP CD
_Genuine Adapter

Special features included with this machine:
-8-cell with about 75% charge (Remaining: 45.57/Design: 61.92)
-Ultrabase with CD-RW/DVD drive
-Nearly new keyboard
-No cracks at all

The x40 has a couple of very small white spots on the LCD. But only visible on white screen.
No scratches on the LCD. LCD is very clean.

I'm looking for $250 shipped. Paypal fees included.

You can add the following items at the following price.
_New IBM genuine 4 cell battery: $30
_1GB pc2700 memory (Kingston, FRU: 33R4967): $30

If combined, $300 shipped.

I'm a verified Paypal seller. Come and see my feedback here: http://myworld.ebay.com/dctalk81

Thanks for your interest.
I'm looking for a buyer who purchases together.
I will message you if I can't find one.

Thanks.

If you end up having the 1GB RAM after selling the X40 I'm interested in it.

Potential buyers: an X40 with 1.5GB of RAM runs really well once you turn off the page file (from the System control panel in case you haven't ventured there) - I have one of these and disabling the virtual memory with all of the read/write operations Windows XP does makes the slower 4200rpm 1.8" IDE drive far less of a liability - and I've never run out of memory using Office 2003, Thunderbird and Firefox 3.0 for browsing as long as you close down apps that you've stopped using. And my X40 with a regular 4-cell battery and the extended battery wedge on the bottom I get a good 5 hours of battery life from the X40 with Wifi on and the LCD at half brightness.

Great little portable and far faster and with a better screen and keyboard, and much more versatile batteries than most netbooks that sell for $100 more than the asking price here.

Looks very nice. I had a x40 and it was beautiful, small and fast. I was just concerned about availability of hard drives.

Good luck with the sale,
Ron
