IBM ThinkPad 600E laptop, type 2645-3AU.
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... ry=26453AU
DISPLAY IS RED AT STARTUP and often turns off. This could be the backlight (replacement display $20 on eBay) or the inverter ($10 or so). Otherwise, the display is fine.
300MHz PII CPU, 32MB RAM built-in, can add 512MB more. 13.3" 1024x768 TFT display.
Comes with battery of unknown capacity, 24x CD-ROM drive, caddy and cover for hard drive, AC adapter, 1x 64MB PC100 memory stick, 1x 64MB PC66 memory stick (giving 160MB RAM total), memory cover. Latest BIOS is installed.
Missing: Hard drive, port covers (USB, floppy, video/parallel, and serial), Windows COA, restore CD.
Condition: The case is covered in light scratches all over the surface, and the edges are worn to the hard plastic. The keyboard bezel has a couple of small areas where the coating has peeled. The keyboard is in excellent condition. Self test shows all components work. There is no BIOS password and the CMOS battery seems good.
Add a hard disk and external monitor and you can use this as is. Fast enough to be an audio media player (not fast enough for video), or sell it for parts: motherboard, keyboard, CD drive, AC adapter.
Asking $25 plus shipping. I'll add a 802.11b/g card for $10 more.
Send a PM with questions or to arrange pick-up.
