I'm not sure whether auction-style selling is OK for this forum (I couldn't find anything re. this in the rules - one could interpret the mandatory asking price as evidence against auction style).
In any case, I bid $1 (one dollar) + $20 shipping for your computer (take out the HD, RAM, DVD-RW drive, power adapter, and software, if needed, to meet this offer).

I haven't seen auction-style selling here before. At least one negative impact is that it frequently bumps the thread to the top.

As for recent comparisons, I recently sold a T60 for Cdn$600 or US$490 with a slightly lesser processor and optical/hard drive, off-warranty 03/2009, but it had 128MB dedicated GPU instead of integrated graphics and a high-resolution Flexview screen instead of WXGA.

The computer is worth what someone will pay for it. If it hasn't sold yet, 1) lower the price or 2) be more patient. How big a hurry are you in to sell it?

Computer was very nice, seller was a thief, "selling" pirated software ripped from a Dell computer with the Dell branding intact and no COA.

This jerk then had the nerve to suggest that I should pay (again) for the software I already bought.
