I have a LG ThinkPad R60 SXGA+ that I'd like to sell, but I don't know what's a good price for it. It was pulled from my R60. According to the tabook it's a 200 nit LCD, but honestly next to my 14" BOE-Hydis 14" R60, it seems a shade dimmer. The screen is used. There's a few minor marks on it. I didn't really notice them until I pulled it, but they are there. I could throw up a few pics if that would help determine the value, but I don't know if you could see much. Anyone got an opinion as to what's a fair price for it? Thanks for any help.

Fred, what I usually do with stuff like this is to take an average selling price on EBay then ask for a few dollars less as a starting point, particularly if it is used, dim, and marked. Take 5% off for each.

I think the problem is going to be there's not many used R60 SXGA+ screens selling on eBay. When I search by the FRU 42T0350, only new ones come up. They go for around $120, but they're obviously new and worth more. I suppose I could start it at 99¢, but knowing my luck, it'd sell for $1.29 or something. There's also some what looks like smudging on the screen, but won't it won't come off, if that makes any sense. Kind of like it's under the screen or something. I cleaned it with a cloth, but it stayed there. I'm not really sure that's the right wordage. The screen works fine and looks decent, though I wouldn't say it was great. I just don't have a clue as to how to price it and I don't want sell it as great when it's OK. I was just hoping to make a few bucks back on the screen I bought from jamiphar. Thanks for the reply.

Well, here's my (very unscientific) method. Take 25% off for being used and 15% off for the noted defects. So, $120 x .60 = $72.
List it here starting at $72 and reduce it by a few dollars if you get no interest.

Or stick it on fleaBay with a starting price of $49.95 +shipping, a reserve of $ 75,- + shipping and a BIN of $94.95 with free shipping.
SXGA+ are rarely offered, so take advantage!
Make sure to mention the screen size!
