WTB: T43 HD (That won't throw error 2010 at me.)

Looking for either a 40 or 60 GB drive that is compatible with the T43. I'm not interested in downgrading the BIOS to get around the issue, I'd prefer a drive that's "compatible".

Need parts in trade? Let me know.

Zipzoomfly was selling a Hitachi 160GB drive that could be flashed with the IBM firmware. Would reduce the capacity to 132GB... but the drive was only like $50. Don't see it on the site right now though

2010 error just require a simple firmware upgrade for T43, go to forum.lenovo.com search 2010, you will see a post has link to lenovo support site, the firmware release is FWHD52.

Absolutely not true. And the firmware update often doesn't work even on so-called "supported" drives.

btw, did you get my 90w ac adapter? I was banned for awhile. now i'm ok. I think I can help you with a 40 or 60GB HDD for T43, with firmware upgraded. No 2010 error guarenteed, PM me,.

Hi! Yes, I did get the AC Adapter, and it works perfectly. Being off-line from the forum for a bit would explain why the message didn't get delivered. (possibly?)
