Broken ThinkPad T42 15" SXGA+ FlexView - MTM 2373-NC1; this was a laptop I purchased in college. I sold it to a family friend and a few months later, they told me it no longer worked. I got it back and it wouldn't power on, so I'm really not sure what is wrong with it. The FlexView display was not "flawless," had some small grey blemishes that were visible if you viewed a pure white background. I never noticed this during usage and IMO you can't see it during normal usage, but another member on this forum who had purchased the machine did notice & was not happy with it. As stated above, the machine won't turn on, so I really can't guarantee one way or the other that you will be happy with the screen.
Important: I am selling this laptop as-is. You will be getting the laptop only, with only the Pentium M 735 CPU included (I figure no one really wants this buy itself) and no other components (WiFi, RAM, optical, HDD, battery, etc). I figure this would be a good machine for someone who wants a spare FlexView LCD, or whatever other use you might have for the chassis. The chassis itself is in fair condition, good considering its age. It does have the normal wear and tear that you would expect over 5-6 years of use. I am selling the other components below, so if you wanted to buy it with all the components and troubleshoot the problem (possibly a motherboard), you certainly could! I'll be happy to provide a package price on all the components. The original specs for the machine are below:
P M 735, 512MB RAM, 40GB 5400rpm HDD, 15 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon 9600, 24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro
$100 shipped for the barebones laptop (only CPU included, no other components), NO guarantee or return of this machine. You are getting a known non-working machine with a last-known working FlexView LCD.

ThinkPad 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI adapter - FRU 91P7301, also out of the T42 above
$25 shipped
****************************************
CD-RW/DVD Ultrabay drive - FRU 13N6769, also out of the T42 above
$25 shipped
****************************************
Pentium M 755 2.0GHz Dothan CPU - Last known working pull from a Dell, used at one point in the T42 above, pins look to be all in good shape
$75 shipped
****************************************
Possibly more to come as I dig stuff out of the closet! Yay for moving...
