Marketplace rule - You must mention if there is a COA or original media for an upgraded OS offered with this laptop, and you must mention the licensing/media for any additional software offered.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is any OS/software offered in the first place. It's a good rule either way, I'm glad it was put into effect!

@patman

Would you be able to give us the 7-character product type(s) and the specs of the 240s? Some photos would be great, too.

Oh, and welcome to the forums! :D

Well, that's the key question here then. Is there an OS included.

The world may never know. That is, unless patman tells us. :wink:

The original Thinkpad 240 came with Windows 98 and a recovery CD with it (I am fairly certain). I got one, and I was fortunate that Windows 2000 came along at the same time as the TP 240 did, and it runs Windows 2000 just fine (but that is not the original OS). ... JDH
