Can anybody share with me a copy of Product Recovery disks for ThinkPad T43, Type 1847?
I recently upgraded my T41 to T43 (motherboard replacement), and I need Product Recovery disks to reinstall the system and utilities. Disks that I have from T41, probably are not the best choice. Thank you.

The T41 disks should work (almost). Download the wifi and network drivers to a USB thumb drive...that will insure you have connectivity to finish the installation. Now that Lenovo no longer supports the automatic updates, you will simply need to check the Windows XP device manager to see what is missing. But, you should be very close with the disks you already have. Yes...the T43 disks would be better but it won't hurt to use the T41 disks in a pinch.

Good luck, Bill

Thank you Bill, I will wait a little still. The system surprisingly works quite well after inserting the T41 HD, I downloaded a bunch of T43 drivers..., but I feel, sooner or later I will face problems out of incompatibility of some small things... As I already know, reinstalling the system, plus service packs plus patches plus drivers, not saying about restoring data and programs... costs tens of hours work, so if I do it, I would like to have the best suitable disks possible.
I offer my set of CD's for T41 for exchange.
