Upgraded to 160 GB hard drive and 2 GB of RAM.

Model 7650-84U with Window XP Professional COA (no media or recovery partition, but software is installed and fully licensed).

This is a 15.4" widescreen R61e with TrackPoint-only (no touchpad) with the Celeron M processor at 1.86 GHz

This is a 64-Bit processor and runs Vista 64 extremely well (my Vista license is not included and the computer will arrive running XP), including full Aero.

ThinkPad (Atheros) ABG wifi and GMA X3100 integrated graphics round out the package. There is no bluetooth or modem installed on this PC, and it comes with the AC adapter and a 4-cell battery.

Sorry, no pics available (no digicam) but it is immaculate, with the only the tinniest hint of shine on the spacebar.

This ThinkPad is guaranteed to arrive not DOA, but is otherwise out-of-warranty and sold as-is.

Asking $300 firm - need to sell fast

Bump and price drop to $350 shipped.

This is an IMMACULATE ThinkPad and while modest in spec, it runs very well in any current OS. I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit RC and it runs beautifully. I can leave 7 on it, or install XP, which is the licensed OS on the machine. 7 is a public beta and I will include the key with which it was installed.

Got to say it's a fine machine for GREAT price. I have the exact same machine but upgraded to a T5450 c2d and 4 gb ram and was smokingly fast when running W7. Even before the upgrade the celeron was a surprisingly capable processor that can handle any day to day work without any noticable slow down comparing with my T60. Build quality is as solid as any thinkpad that I've owned. With 64bit capable processor ( and easy upgrade to T7xxx or possibly T8xxx/T9xxx ) and 8 gb ram limit, it is reasonably "future proof" too.

Thanks for the endorsement. The only thing I don't like is the physical size of a 15" machine, otherwise I would use it myself. I would consider a trade of the R61e and some $$$$ for your 14" T or R series ThinkPad.

Okay, final price drop to $300 before it hits eBay.

Come on guys, this is a VERY nice ThinkPad, but I need to sell it now to pay for my new T400. Everything works perfectly and it is nice and fast. You won't find a cleaner ThinkPad for less that can run a 64 bit OS.

Good luck Andrew with the T400 on order...

If I wasn't waiting for a R61, I might buy back my old R61e !!

Hopefully it sells soon.. :D
