ThinkPad X20 2662-34U
PIII 600MHz (256KB) 128MB RAM 20.0 GB 12.1 XGA TFT 1024x768, Intel Combo LAN Modem, Win98
Upgraded to 320MB total, also includes internal Wifi antennas (in the LCD unit).
Comes with Ultrabase which has a floppy drive, but no CD-ROM drive (it does have the slot for it though). Also comes with an extra battery. Both batteries are the extra capacity ones. Boots into XP Pro and works perfectly EXCEPT the LCD is bad.
Not sure what's wrong with the LCD, but initially the backlight burned out when I plugged in the AC adapter. I replaced the inverter, but that didn't fix it. So I took the backlight bulb out for visual inspection (looks black on the edges, so it's probably bad). Not having a spare bulb on hand, I put the LCD back together just so I wouldn't have parts setting out all over my desk. Now that it's back together, there is no longer even an image on the LCD.
Maybe I missed a connection, or maybe I really screwed up the LCD taking it apart. I don't know, the LCD was perfect before, no bad pixels or pressure marks. Nothing appears broken. It's just dead. If you're good at fixing things, at best you only have to replace the bulb which I've seen for less than $15 shipped on eBay. At worse, you have to replace the whole LCD panel which there are currently some just under $40 shipped on eBay. I have the original inverter (has a blown fuse) that I will throw in, and 2 spare presumably working ones I bought from eBay when I thought it was the inverter. It works just fine with an external monitor.
I have enough Thinkpads and just don't have the initiative to spend any more time on this.
It has a few scratches, but in overall good shape for its age.
$50+shipping.
Will throw in an internal MiniPCI 802.11g 54mbps WLAN card (supports Atheros 108MBps Super G) for an additional $10. It replaces the internal modem, which I will also include.
