I disagree with you, thinkpadinside, at least somewhat. Ultimately all depends on how much people are willing to pay, but you have to consider that the laptop is faster than an X40/X41, and really is comparable to a T42, except I haven't heard of X32 units failing due to GPU detachment. In many ways, an X32 is the pinnacle of the pre-X60 X-series, and since they were never produced in large numbers, these laptops tend to be pricey, especially the high-end ones.
This one sits well in the middle as far as specs go. If the physical condition is good, and the battery is in good shape, I'd say that the price may be reasonable, or a bit on the high side, but not WAY too high. In any case, I can't see why a much slower X40 for just $40 less is such a better deal, as you seem to think...
