Any particular reason you're looking at a T30, other than cost? It was an old tank with slower, hotter processors than subsequent generations and, of course, the "memory slot problem". Given the prices for T4x and R4x, they would be better deals for anything that even closely stresses the CPU.

I have a spare 1.6ghtz gathering dust
Im pretty sure it has a bad memory slot, but I bet I have not turned it on in 90 days
Its a spare to a spare.
I also have several MoBos coming back from Hammerhead tech with repaired slots

I also have a very nice T30 available. It was my backup but I just picked up a T43p to replace it.

Power button on computer occasionally balky but has been this way for years.
