May not work for T60: I have a T61 with recovery disks and recently bought a T60p with COA but no OS and tried to load up the T61 recovery media without success.

That's odd, the recovery CDs/DVDs are usually backwards compatible - you may have to download any new hardware drivers (but most of them are present on the CDs as older versions).
