So this will burn Blu-Ray disks and not just read them?

Also has anyone tested out one of these in a T60P(15.4 WS)?

EDIT:After looking up more info on it.It's wont work on the T60P's.
The UltraBay Enhanced drives use a 12.7mm.
The T60p's use UntraBay Slim for drives with 9.5mm.

There is no way the Enhanced drive will fit in the Slim slot.
BUT you can use the Slim(9.5mm) into a Enhanced(12.7mm) slot.

Indeed, these Ultrabay Enhanced drives will not work on any T-series model. The title of the thread should be edited.

Ultrabay Enhanced will work on R-series, starting from R50 (except economy models R50e/R51e/R60e/R61e) and on the Z60m/Z61m/Z61p.

I believe the drive will indeed fit and work the economy models, but will not be modular. Don't forget the few Z61e machines that were sold.

I must say I never tried fitting an Ultrabay drive to an economy model. If you can unscrew the old fixed drive, and screw this one in, it would be cool.

I found some manuals that had these listed as working with T and Z models. Albeit I've never tried and don't really care for purchasing them or seeking them out to test it.

I appreciate the info. I updated my post. I'm not sure why the information I found said that it would but I'd rather just change it to what you've listed.

It doesn't look like it's going to sell anyway.



BUT I am open to offers and would like to sell this preferably by the end of the week as I'm making a trip for the 4th and wouldn't mind the extra cash.

it's to bad it dident fit the T60P 15.4" WS. I showed my buddy the drive and he was going to buy it.But i then looked up the spec's and seen it's a 12.7mm drive.

The drive that they used to make it is a great drive. I bought this brand new from IBM in hopes that it would work in another branded laptop (HP) or would be a simple process to remove some sort of adapter to make it standard. Sadly it did not work and I am stuck with an IBM proprietary drive. I have a friend who said he would be willing to solder another drives connector in place of the one that is on this drive to get it to work but I don't trust doing that. So that's why I'm trying to sell it.

I can't go any lower. I'm already losing money.

Throw it up on eBay for whatever price. Do the 30 day auction and accept offers. Perhaps someone will come along who makes an acceptable offer or buys it.
