I've never owned a new Thinkpad, but I imagine this is what one looks like. There are a few minor scuffs on the lid, but other than that this machine looks and feels almost new. The hinges are tight, the rubberized paint on the lid and the textured plastic on the palmrest feel like fine sandpaper... no wear and no shine at all. Even the corners of the lid are almost unworn. You'd have to look far and wide to find a T23 in better condition. Needless to say, the LCD, keyboard, etc. are as pretty as the day they were shipped. You might think the clear panel for the LEDs is scuffed... but that's just on the plastic film covering it. Peel that off and it should look new.
