Hi all,

I have three nice ThinkPads - my goal is to have something for home, and possibly a runabout sub-notebook for work that I'll put an SSD into. Problem is, I don't know which subnotebook to keep - and they each take different form factor drives. So I am listing both in the hope that one sells, and I'll then keep the other. If both sell, I'll then buy myself an X300 or something - in which case, I wouldn't need the Z60m either, as it could do double duty :)

I am happy to ship internationally, at actual postage cost. Prices below are in Australian dollars.

I will take pictures over the weekend.

ThinkPad X40

The case is in stellar condition, the only point to note is that one corner of the top case has a subtly different colour due to an asset tag being stuck there from new.

Model-Type: 2372-BM1
1.4 GHz Pentium M
1.5GB RAM (maxed out)
40GB 1.8" PATA Hard Disk
Intel b/g WLAN
Bluetooth (using the correct BMDC module and Bluetooth LED windows)
WinXP Pro with COA, and recovery partition intact
8-cell battery in good condition; 69 cycles, 45.23 Wh (61.92 design) capacity.
Ultrabase, with DVD/CDRW Combo Drive - no keys though.
16V/4.5A AC Adapter
Warranty has expired.

Price: AU$450.

ThinkPad X60s

This is in very good condition, though the black finish has rubbed off some of the pointy bits of the case. The COA sticker on the underside is a bit natty on the edges.

Model-Type: 1702-64M
Core Duo 1.66GHz (L2400)
1.5GB RAM (1G + 512M DDR2)
80GB SATA hard disk
Intel a/b/g WLAN
Sierra Wireless MC8755 WWAN (I believe this is locked to Vodafone; if it is, it can be unlocked with DC-Unlocker)
Bluetooth
Fingerprint Reader
8-cell battery in good condition; 73 cycles, 68.16 Wh (74.88 design) capacity.
WinXP Pro with COA. Recovery partition not present, includes media for a clean OEM install.
90W AC Adapter
In warranty (IWS) until 2012-01-23. (this has a 5 year warranty upgrade)

Price: AU$850.

ThinkPad Z60m

This is in excellent condition except for one thing. The left palm rest is blemished where the WinXP/Centrino stickers were, the cleaning chemical has made a portion of it shiny.

Model-Type: 2529-E8U
1.86GHz Pentium M
15.4" 1680x1050 display (the nicest non-IPS panel I've ever used!)
2GB RAM (1G + 1G DDR2)
80GB SATA hard disk
Ultrabay DVD Burner
Intel b/g WLAN
Bluetooth (using the correct FRU part, but without the window for the Bluetooth light)
Fingerprint Reader
6-cell battery in good condition; 185 cycles, 46.22 Wh (56.16 design) capacity.
WinXP Pro with COA, and recovery partition intact
90W AC Adapter
Warranty has expired.

Price: AU$500.

Ah, I would so love to purchase that X60s just for that WWAN card - and you're in Australia too!

Anyways good luck, I'm sure there are a few more Aussies around here - and if I ever scrounge up enough cash, I may be back :P

The X60 has been upgraded with an MC8775 WWAN card, and brand new palm-rest plastics ("IBM ThinkPad" sticker) have been installed.
