WTB: T4x old batteries

Hi
I'm looking to doing Li-ion rechargable cell replacement for T4x series, and need some old but intact 4400Ah and larger 6600Ah battery packs that will no longer hold charge.
I don't want to pay much for them (I'll even take them off your hands for free!) but I will pay post and packing.
Thanks in advance.

I'm wanting to try and see if it's feasible to change the cells using named (ie non Chinese generic) cells so want some 'test bed' battery bodies + the circuit.
I don't know - say $10 each + carriage?
Rough calc on postage 1 battery weighs around 1lb and looking at USPS rates for a couple of batteries (2lbs) squeezed into a 'small flat box' priority mail is $13 - total price $33 (if you agree with my offer of course!).
Can I see if anyone else gets back to me coz ideally I wanted to pay as little as possible,
Also how do you feel about my offer - would you feel generous enough to lower it?
Many thanks!

There's a (not very reliable) battery refiller here:
http://www.batteryrefill.com/
Maybe glean some info from there?
I hear (and see on the web) they are very problematic in returning batteries. Takes up to several months apparently.
I don't think refilling is all that complicated. Batteries are available everywhere,
The main problem would be to open the battery cases without doing (any or too much) damage to them.
A lesser problem would be (I guess) to establish if the electronics inside the battery would still be OK.

I've sourced some non generic cells at a reasonable price, & I've managed to get into a 4400Ah battery with some difficulty but without breaking anything.
As to the electronics - they are the question mark but want to design a little test bed, which is why I could do with some forum members sending me a few dud batteries for me to play around with.
Thanks too RBS for the link.
There must be loads of people in UK & Europe who would like to donate their batteries to a good cause!

I have some dead/almost dead T2x batteries, which you can have for shipping cost. I'll have to check how many.

Thanks Bill
It's the T40 both types I'm interested in at the minute since I've got ready made hardware for a test bench (an old T40!). I also need to check out if it's feasible to supply quality battery packs and to get a feel for the job (to say nothing of the safety aspects etc).
I'd definitely take you up on your offer (and the other person from USA who has PM'd me), but lets give it a couple of days to see if there's anyone in UK or Europe who can help out - will save in postage and a lot of hassle for everyone concerned.
All the best Nick

Hi Chris
Bill has offered some free of charge + postage to UK - would you be prepared to also do this? I'm wanting to try out the feasibility of changing cells and need a few batteries to test.
They have a phrase here in Newcastle UK: "shy bairns get nought!" (shy kids get nothing if they don't ask!), so I won't be offended if you say no!
PM me if it's possible & I'll send you my address and Paypal details & make sure your paypal 'charges' are covered too.
Many thanks Nick

PM sent Bill - yes please for the T40 ones.
At some later stage if this works then I'll look at the other types too.
