I used to own this laptop. It is in very very good condition. At $189 this is a great deal for a member here. Good luck with the sale Ron.

I am kind of interested in this....a couple questions. Could the wireless card easily be swapped for something that includes "G" and/or "N"? What does WinXP COA intact mean? And could the hard drive easily be changed to something bigger?

Yes, you can change to a different wireless card, but you'll likely need to run the no-1802 hack to disable the CMOS from checking for the card ID (an easy procedure and very low risk).
And larger disks work, as long as they are PATA. Our X31 has a 7200 rpm 200 GB drive.

@tomh009.
If you use a IBM wireless card with a FRU# on it you wont need the non-1802 hack.I used a T42 Intel 2200Pro in my old X31 no problem.So upgrading the X31 to a "G" would be easy and cheap.You can find them for under 20.00.
Also the largest 7200rpm PATA(IDE) drive made was a 100gig.You may want to check to see what drive you have again.
As others have said, the X31 is a very nice laptop.And it goes without saying that Ron is a very good seller.To whoever buys it will be very happy with the X31 and the seller.You cant go wrong by buying this.
if i had some extra cash i would just at it.
