Looking for 14 inch or smaller laptop

#1 Post by Me2 » Fri Jun 26, 2009 12:57 am

I am looking for a 14 inch or smaller laptop. Preferably with Windows XP, at least one USB drive and able to get wireless internet. It needs to be in good working condition. I would like to find one for under $200.

I have some ..
A: X40 systems 12.1"
B: X31 systems 12.1"
C: T42 systems 14.1"
Most of those would be under $250. What kind of specs are you looking for?
X201s -- T430s -- W530

-Windows XP (but will consider other operating systems)
-At least one USB drive
-60gb hard drive or larger
-Wireless b/g. N would be nice but not neccesary. If it's just g that's fine too.
-14 inch or smaller screen

That's all I can think of right now.

If you want something rock solid, I have an extremely sturdy 14" Compaq Armada 7400.

Manufacturer's product description
The new Compaq Armada 7400 Series offers desktop equivalent portables in a durable magnesium-alloy case, and the latest high performance features in a lightweight, thin design. The Armada 7400 has the same core architecture and many of the same great features as the Armada 7800, only thinner and lighter. With the industry's most robust docking solution, it quickly hot docks into the award-winning ArmadaStation II with or without the optional Tower Stand that saves space. Or, for port replication with Ethernet capabilities, try the Armada MiniStation E convenience base. The Armada 7400 Series, in addition to the thin and light weight design also features convenient functionality such as a MultiBay to swap out peripherals. Built with the utmost quality and a new magnesium-alloy casing, the Armada 7400 Series has the durability and reliability you need on the road.

This machine runs Windows XP great, has a USB port and has wifi-b/g. What more could you possibly want?

I could let you have that for less than one hundred dollars!
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
