**SOLD**: 2007/08 1.83Ghz C2D Mac Mini

#1 Post by Harryc » Sat Jul 04, 2009 4:40 am

I have a 2007/08 1.83Ghz Core 2 Duo Mac Mini for sale. It was purchased from Apple as a refurb last month, so it has 11 months of AppleCare left. It will come in it's original box with all software (Leopard 10.5.7, iLife '08), documentation, AC adapter, 80GB 5400rpm hard drive, and 1GB RAM (2x512MB). The mini is perfect functionally and cosmetically.

$420 plus actual shipping to the US or Canada. Paypal or Cash/MO.

Good morning Harry!
What kind of optical drive does this mini have (ie Superdrive)?
Happy 4th!

I'd point out that if the machine was purchased on or after June 8th, it would qualify for the not quite free upgrade to Snow Leopard. It's $10 for the shipping. Even if you can't get that, it's only $29 to upgrade from Leopard, which ain't too shabby either.

I got one of these for the folks about a year and a half ago refurbed from Apple. I paid about the same, not including tax. It was right around the time Leopard came out, so I got that for the $10 at the time. It was pretty much the same machine except with only 512MB of memory and a Core Duo. The machine looked new without all the fancy packaging. I popped open the case to throw in 2GB of memory and a 7200RPM drive, which helped speed things up. They love the thing, but they kind of drank the Kool-Aid years ago, which I never did.

@FredGarvin, thanks for pointing the Snowleopard upgrade option out, but this machine shipped on 5/20/2009. You are correct about it's condition though, I could not tell it was a refurb because it looks new. As far as drinking the coolaid, well I drank the OS coolaid years ago, I like them all ... LInux, OSX, BSD, Windows, etc. They are all great for what they are. By the way this Mini will dual boot XP, Vista, and Windows 7 in bootcamp, and any other OS you can name in a Virtual Machine like Parallels. This is all in a package that in under 7" square on your desktop. Also, for those unfamiliar with the mini, it has built in 802.11g wireless, bluetooth, (4) USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire 400 port, and DVI video powered by an Intel GMA 950 chipset. The reason I am selling? A 2009 Mini will be here in (2) days ;). Ask about memory and hard drive upgrades. If you want those I can accommodate that ...
