I have a T23 2647-5NU which had water spilled on it. It does not power up. It is complete except for hard drive, it has:
SXGA Screen
1.2Mhz processor
1 GB RAM (2x512)
Intel BG Internal Wireless card
1 year old battery (Rayovac) which has been working fine
1 02K6645 IBM Ultrabay Battery
1 1.44MB Ultrabay Floppy
1 Ultrabay DVD / CDRW
1 hard drive cage, screws, faceplate
NO HARD DRIVE IS INCLUDED

This machine was in good shape before the accident, it looks pretty clean. There is one small KB bezel crack lower left corner by keyboard but everything else looks very good.

Because I cannot boot this up and I have sold off all of my T23 inventory, I have no way to fully test these parts. My son shipped it back to me and I don't have the time or parts to get it working.

$75 or best offer, plus shipping, USA. I would also be interested in trade if you have parts relative to T43, or a PATA drive. Make me an offer!

I sold my T23 but seeing what comes in the package for $75, it's a steal!

Buying all the various parts would add up to way more than that..................

Do we know for certain that the RAM wasn't damaged by the water spill? I've received a couple of Thinkpads before that had system board damage from spills, and the RAM was damaged also.

If the RAM is good that would account for a large chunk of the value. And the LCD would more than make up the rest. All the other bits would be...like a bonus! I just have way more Thinkpads than I need already.

I have no way to test this, I don't have a machine any longer that can use the RAM (unless it would work in a T40??)
