Brand new in a HP-branded, unopened box. Great upgrade for the following ThinkPads:
A31, A31p
R32, R40, R40e (not all models will work with this CPU, please verify compatibility prior to purchase)

I have one of these in my personal A31p and am very happy with the results. It is, at least in my opinion, the ultimate sweet spot between performance gain and heat buildup.
