Whats wrong with it
If its a simple R&R you should be able to handle it

Hi JRonald,

Thanks for the reply.

My A30P screen works if I shine a light on it, so it has either a burned out CF bulb or the inverter is bad.
And maybe I can fix that myself?

The second reason I'm asking about expert help is my X41 Tablet screen is having issues.
Sometimes it goes completely green. Or pink. Or a dark gray.
A tech friend said that is likely a more involved repair.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and good health, Weogo

Your A30p LCD has probably a bad CCFL. Has it been reddish/pinkish prior to this last episode?

Actually, I've seen screens flash solid colors before with a rather simple repair: plug the cable the rest of the way in. If you feel comfortable with the machine apart, check the screen cabling. It might not fix it, but it's worth a shot.

As far as swapping the CCFL
Ill do it for myself, there are a few members who will do it for others....BUT IM NOT ONE OF THEM
Lots of patience and an undying need to be a cheap tightwad ba$tard is the only reason I have done it.
Of the 7 or so I have done, I goobed 3 of them and 4 cam out accepatable to perfect!
