X41 + Ultrabase $235 **SOLD**

I have an X41 (2526-C71) with X4 Ultrabase Slim DVD optical, plus Original IBM Recovery Disks for sale --
In excellent operating condition, with appearance about a 7 or 8 out of 10 -- no dead pixels - no wear or shine on keys or palm rest -- hinges tight -- Pentiium and XP stickers show wear -- cover shows very slight scuffs/wear on on edges -- no dings/chips/cracks, etc. Warranty expired 12/29/2008.

Had question from forum member about screen, so am adding the following info:
The screen is nice and bright. Compared to my new X301, the X41 is not as bright/clear/white as the X301. It's kinda subjective, but I can easily read the X41 screen on all settings from brightest to dimmest. Interestingly, both the X301 and the X41 seem (to me) to be about equal brightness on the first lowered setting -- but the X301 has more settings, so it is much harder to read on it's lowest setting than is the X41 on it's lowest setting. I just sold my X61 and X61s machines here on the forum -- my memory is that the X61's screens were equal to the X41 -- (also about equal to my T41 and my husband's Z61t --) but both my X301 and my son's Z61m seem to have brighter screens when on their highest settings. Also, when I looked closer at the screen for brightness, there is one area with a pencil-eraser-size area that shows a bit brighter -- did not notice it before and is hard to see -- but can been seen when looking closely.
