Hi all,
I'd like to see my trusty T42p go on to a good home as part of my apartment simplification (ie, no more spare computers) movement. Machine is in fair condition. I am original owner, still have manuals and discs. Includes Mini-Dock II and the webcam I have attached to it and never use. Can also throw in a firewire pc card with 2 6-pin ports if you want it.
Asking $225 obo shipped to US for all. Should get more $$$ than that for someone willing to part it out. I don't have the patience myself.
Specs:
- 1.8GHZ Pentium M 745
- 1 GB RAM (2x 512)
- 60GB 7200rpm HDD
- 14.1 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD
- 128MB ATI FireGL T2
- 24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD(slim)
- IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless(MPCI)
- Bluetooth/Modem(CDC)
- 1Gb Ethernet(LOM)
- UltraNav (w/ one new pointer)
- Secure Chip
- 9 cell Li-Ion battery
- WinXP Pro (recovery disks only)
- Office XP Pro (original media with key and license)
- MINI-DOCK PORT REPLICATOR II (type 2878) w/ AC adapter with both keys
- AC adapter
- Cheap-o creative webcam (if you want it)
- Firewire pc card (if you want it)
- all original manuals and discs
Key problems:
- 9-cell battery is near-dead, ~30 min of life
- Small chip in plastic corner near IBM logo on keyboard
- Have not used burner in ages, but last time I did (year+ ago) it threw a coaster -- don't even have blanks to test operation
- Cord somewhat loose on A/C adapter, I mainly use machine docked
- Some marks on LCD; machine is old -- normal wear is there
