Should I buy?

At a local resale shop: #5247061
8 IBM ThinkPad Multiple Battery Charger
These appear to be new. As I don't have any working thinkpad yet, are they worth buying for the future? What is a good price for consideration?

If it is the "Multiple Battery Charger II' part number 40Y7151 yes.
I have 2 that I paid $8.00 a piece. Nice to have on hand.

buy them, keep a couple and sell the rest, here..

The correct part number is 22P9040
Just remember that these only charge batteries
below the A/R/T/X60 Series!

Not sure why you would want a stack of these - they only work with older thinkpads and you have nothing to use them with........ unless they are basically giving them away. They are selling on Amazon.com for $7.50 each but I suspect the market for them is pretty limited.

I've decided to pass on this one. However the mgr told me they are also listed on their website up the 22nd; shopgoodwill.com Grandville MI store in case some one is interested in them.
