Anyone have a dead drive you're wanting rid of?

Please PM price shipped to 38571 USA (thanks)

Yes, dead as in broken, broken as in it doesn't work nor will ever work. As long as a hammer wasn't taken to it, it will likely be OK. And all I'm interested in is the chassis (the aluminum frame which holds the drive). Want to see if some modifications can be made to have it hold a compact flash SSD in an X31 and T41. Can be any capacity ... insides are going to be removed so capacity doesn't matter but the drive must be 9.5mm thick HDD (fits in T and X and R series) not the 12mm.

I typically mail HDDs (good ones) in a bubble pack, HDD protected with cardboard, and USPS cost is anywhere from $1.32 - $1.76 (3 to 4 stamps).

Please let me know how much you'd like to mail one.

Thanks

I have a 40gig IDE drive here for free. But where i'm in Canada shipping would be too much.
Last hard drive i sent out to the USA by the cheapest way Canada post had was $11.00cdn.
Canada post sucks for shipping things.
