Slight off-topic... My IT support colleagues from my company gave me one of those for my X31 as well. Works fine as and there is noticeable less keyboard flex. Did you cracked your keyboard bezel?

No, mine at least is not cracked. Laptop is in perfect condition. The dummy card though, seems like a good idea without really adding any weight......

Definitely a good idea. My slot was empty and I cracked the keyboard (it was my 1st day with a X31), with an empty slot the keyboard flexes too much for my taste...
