Stuff I need
SATA Ultrabay 2000 2nd HDD adapter tray (I know this is not an original IBM part)
PATA UB2000 2nd HDD adapter tray
SATA Ultrabay Enhanced 2nd HDD adapter tray (W700 compatible) I can't even find a part number.
PATA Ultrabay Enhanced 2nd HDD adapter tray (W700 compatible) , again not likely to be an OEM part. May not exist yet.
Even if you don't have this stuff, if you know where I can find them, let me know.
X32 Keyboard in good condition (USED) for sale. $24.95 plus actual shipping.

Re: Stuff I need
Lenovo Outlet has the 72W for $13 and change each and free shipping within US. Pretty smoking deal I say.

I will have to check that out. Where is that website? I have read mention of the outlet several times but have yet to see a web address. Is this it? http://outlet.lenovo.com/ Also is this an official Lenovo site or a reseller?
Re: Stuff I need
That is Lenovo Direct Outlet.

Re: Stuff I need
Well thank you SOOOOO much (sarcasm) now that I've found the outlet I have been suckered into buying a refurbed W700ds. I am no longer sitting crooked!
Re: Stuff I need
One thing about the Outlet that you might not know unless you read the fine print is that you get a one year limited warranty, and it can not be extended. Seems to me that parts for a W700ds could be pricey after that first year is up.

Re: Stuff I need
Yes no doubt, but I did the math. The warranty I would have bought new was over $400. I saved almost 2800 so that's about 3200 total. IOW I could almost buy the entire notebook again for what it would have cost from Lenovo direct with 4 year on site. The old refurbs had only a 90 day warranty so I was glad to see the 1 year. I could not find ANY fine print that said the warranty could not be upgraded, BUT I assumed as much. I realize this is a return and they want to cut their losses. FYI I was about "that" close to waiting for the Mac Book Pro to be released with an i7 and a gig of VRAM. I just wasn't ready to give up the trackpoint.Harryc wrote:One thing about the Outlet that you might not know unless you read the fine print is that you get a one year limited warranty, and it can not be extended. Thanks for looking out for me!
I really just wanted a 4:3 14" SXGA+ or UXGA Flexview with LED backlight with an i7 and monster graphics under the hood and would have accepted a very THICK form factor and an audible fan to get that as long as it had the OLD IBM trackpoint keyboard I fell in love with on my T20 and A31. I settled for the W700ds, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I'm seriously considering continuing to use my X32 for web surfing, etc rather than pass it down the line. I enjoy this machine more than my X60 Tablet mostly due to the palm burning issue. I use the Tablet for work, and I'll use the W700 for work. I think I'd only give up this (A31 mini me) X32 if I replaced it with a T60P. Does anyone know how I can get an IPS screen into my X32?
ANyway the point if you are listening Lenovo is some of us need massive performance and want the highest quality screen possible in a 12"-15" 4:3 and we are willing to pay extra for it. I would have most certainly paid as much for the same monster processing in a more portable solution. Battery life of 3-4 hours watching an AVI or MP4 would be nice too.
OK enough ranting for me.

Using a hacksaw and your GF/wife's diamond ring to cut the glass, you should be able to make a nice 12" IPS-panel.proaudioguy wrote:Does anyone know how I can get an IPS screen into my X32?

I thought perhaps there was a way to use one of the tablet screens or something from another OEM., but I like your way better.
Re: Stuff I need
Sorry to hear that. Thought you only needed some PSs. You should browse that site more often. The stuff over in the accessories section can be killer deal. I just picked up the last 2 (at least for now) 20V 65W PS for less than $9 each.proaudioguy wrote:Well thank you SOOOOO much (sarcasm) now that I've found the outlet I have been suckered into buying a refurbed W700ds. Re: Stuff I need
I edited the top post after getting some of what I needed. So bumpity bump.
Yea, the outlet is awesome. I just picked up a Tablet sleeve for 13 bucks. I apparently left mine in a hotel room or at a gig. Bummed out. Borrowed one from a friend. Ha dI known they had those 65 Watt 20V guys for $9. I would have got one of those too.

They just refilled the site. There are 6 of those 65W 20V adapters available as of now.
