Sold, thank you.
I have a near-mint Thinkpad X32 that I would like to sell. It's been a great machine but I need/want something with more graphics capability. I've upgraded the RAM and Hard drive, and I would rate it 9.8/10 cosmetically. There are no marks or dead pixels on the screen. There are some tiny scratches around the USB port on the left hand side, and the rubber feet on the battery had fallen off, so I replaced them with grey ones.
Here are the specifications:
Model: 2885-K4U
Serial: 99-N5028
Intel Pentium Mobile 755 @ 2.00GHz
2GB RAM, 2X Crucial 1GB 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700)
80GB IDE HITACHI TRAVELSTAR 7K100 7200RPM 8MB CACHE
802.11abg wireless Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG
1Gb Ethernet Intel Pro/1000 MT
Bluetooth/Modem
X3 UltraBase + CD-RW/DVD
6 cell Li-Ion battery (holds a good charge, 2.5 hours)
Windows XP Professional with COA
Lenovo On-Site Warranty until May 2010 (which may no longer be valid because the system was once a Lenovo internal asset, I can't say for sure though)
Here is a link to my Photobucket account with several pictures:

I would like $400 for this computer. I will pay for shipping within the USA.
Thank you!

Wow! A maxed-out X32 with warranty! Too bad I don't need one, this one is kicka$$.
BTW, normally you shouldn't post the serial number (I suggest you edit your post and remove it). But since you did, I looked it up on Lenovo's site and came up with this:
Status: Expiration date: Location:
In warranty 2010-05-10 UNITED STATES
Description:
This machine is registered as a Lenovo internal asset and is entitled to on-site service. For service and support, Lenovo employees should contact their local internal HelpDesk.
What is the meaning of "Lenovo internal asset"?
BTW, you should be careful when you say "you will pay for shipping". I assume you are willing to pay for shipping within the US, but what about international? You should make your terms clear. Otherwise I may demand that you ship it to Israel at no extra cost to me.
But, wow, I'm speechless - this is one rare unit.

I'm leaving the serial number up, but clarified the shipping info per your suggestion.
It was a demonstration unit, which is why it's listed as an internal asset. I've never had to make use of the warranty so I can't say for sure if there would be any problem with that. I purchased the laptop off eBay a while back.

BTW, I just noticed this is in the X series forum. Such threads should go into the Marketplace forum. One of the mods/admins will probably move it.

You're right, that would be the best place for it. Hopefully it will be moved soon.

FYI, the warranty on this machine has died the moment Lenovo liquidated it.

Why so?

Internal asset warranty is terminated the moment the asset is liquidated. That does not mean it will immediately show in the system. It does mean that the machine will not be serviced for the new owner under warranty terms.
If you worked for Lenovo, or had someone who did, you could possibly get the unit repaired.
I've owned-and sold on this forum as well as outside of it-dozens of former "internal assets" and have been advised first hand to offer them as units with no external warranty.
Your machine, your call.

Seems fair, I didn't know this, and was told the warranty was fine when I originally purchased the Thinkpad.
Thanks for the info!
Edit: BTW the information on Lenovo's website hasn't changed in over a year, it's always given me the same information, that the unit is an internal asset w/ warranty. Anyway, I've never had to service the computer so it probably won't matter. I could offer to guarantee the laptop personally for at least a week after selling it.
