the basics:

ThinkPad A31p 2653-H5U

Original description:

P4-M 1.7GHz (512KB)
256MB RAM......................now 2GB PC2700
60.0GB HDD...........................now 80GB/7200rpm Seagate, restore partition intact
15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD.................downright flawless and VERY bright for a machine of this vintage
8x4x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD
802.11b(MPCI), Modem(MPCI).............now Broadcom 4306 b/g card and NO modem, original combo card included as well
Ethernet(CDC)
Bluetooth(CDC)
Security Chip
IEEE 1394
TV out
Li-Ion battery...............in yellow
WinXP Pro..............COA intact, recovery media included

extras:

- Brand new Intel SL6VC 2.4 Ghz CPU in an unopened, HP-branded box
- Used, but tested good, "fast" fan required for the proper operation of the aforementioned CPU
- Brand new (NOS) original battery with 1 (one) cycle, first used in November of 2009, holds full charge, just received from Lenovo, with box.

known imperfections:

- Upper USB port is missing the plastic insert, and therefore not functional. An easy fix if you have time and patience.
- Very slight wear on the lid.

This is by far the cleanest A31p I've seen in a long time, and the only reason for it possibly leaving my house is the fact that I just bought back my very first A31p... :D

rules of the sale:

- I reserve the right to sell this machine to whomever I want to. Period.
- I shall NOT downgrade, take this or that out to lower the price. This sale is for the entire package only.

I'll be on the road for most of this week and unable to ship prior to Friday, December 4th. Pictures will be available later tonight by email/PM request.

Asking price is $375 firm plus shipping at cost to most locations worldwide. If you reside in the U.S. and pay by personal cheque/money order/cash, I shall ship this machine for free by USPS Priority Mail, fully insured.

PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.
