SOLD T22 Too nice to recycle

#1 Post by richk » Sun Nov 29, 2009 1:41 pm

I don't generally deal with older machines, but I got this one by accident. It is a PIII 1000 mHz machine with 256MB memory, 20GB drive, DVD and an SXGA+ screen. The battery is lightly used. According to the battery software, the recharge cycle count is 13 and it stores 32 Wh. vs. about 38.8 for a new one. It is certainly not a modern machine, but it would be a cheap working computer for someone with a need. It had an XP recovery partition, so I went through that whole process, including service packs, driver updates, etc. The COA on the bottom is Windows 2000. It passes the Windows Genuine Advantage test. The screen looks really nice when it is running. When I first started it up cold, there might have been the slightest hint of pink in the lower corner on the whight lettering that says "hit F1 for the BIOS". The case, palmrest, etc are in very good, used condition. It is missing one rubber foot.

$75 (OBO) plus $17.50 priority mail shipping within U.S. Comes with an A/C adapter.

It came to me with a second battery and an ultrabay floppy. The 2nd battery is not in good condition. The battery software says it holds 15.84 Wh. If you want the battery and floppy drive, they are free, but it will add $5 to the shipping. I did very minimal testing on the floppy. I inserted a disk, read the directory, read one file and wrote one file.

I have tried to describe this as well as I can. I cannot say I tested everythhing. I read CDs, read USB drive, tested the ethernet connection, but I don't have anything to test parallel port, serial port, dock connector, PS2 port, etc. I guarantee it is as described, but other than that, it is "as-is".

PM if interested

A purchaser should take the floppy. It’s been awhile so I’m not sure, but this machine may not boot from a usb device. (Ray, RBS or someone like that probably knows for sure). T2x’s are my favorite thinkpads.
