WTB: T30 & T40 functional motherboards

#1 Post by goldenbb » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:23 pm

My T30 crapped out yesterday, looks to be the ATI graphics chip. The T40 succumbed last year sometime, same deal. I'm looking for a working motherboard for both, if the price is right. I've cruised eBay, but, eh, I've had bad experiences with shill bidders and such on that site. I'm looking for less drama and bs. In addition to the T40, I'd be willing to obtain anything with the same form factor, e.g. T42, R50(?) or whatever fits (14" screen).

Thanks!
T23 (kaput), T30 (dead, ATI chip), T40 (dead, ATI chip)

Have a look at this R40 mobo on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-THINKPAD-R40-LA ... 0183186136
It looks suspiciously close to a T30 mobo! It's definitely NOT a picture of an R40 mobo!
For a real R40, see here:

PS: You just missed out on this T30 mobo sale, they had 36 of them at $16.- each.

Keep an eye on this seller...
