I'm looking for a 2gb stick of pc2700/3200 ram for my t42. I've got 1.5gb in it right now, but I'd like to bump it to the 3gb max (for XP). Thanks for any replies.

[edit] A few searches has revealed that I'll be looking for a 2gb stick of pc3200 ram for a long time... It seems it doesn't exist. So can I change my order to 1gb? Sorry for the confusion. :?

The chipset limitation of T4x machines is 2GB. What OS you run is completely unimportant.

There are no 2GB PC2700/3200 laptop DDR RAM sticks on the market, there never were any to begin with.

So, I guess you'll just have to max it out at 2x1GB and call it a day...
