As always, I have TOO MANY Thinkpads. I bought this gem a couple of months ago before I knew I was getting a T400s from my employer. It's been a great add to my hardware collection, but now it has to go...I have to pay for Christmas and also, my wife is beginning to suspect I am hiding Thinkpads to keep the true number from her. Finally, I have run out of outlets in my home office. I have five screens staring at me right now. If you have any interest in a tablet, this is THE ONE to get. It is both Pen and Finger, it has Onsite Warranty through mid 2011 and it has lots of extras, including MS Office Pro 2003.

This machine has a new motherboard and screen, both replaced a month ago by IBM onsite under warranty. It has a four year special bid limited warranty and is entitled to parts, labor and on-site repair service. Service is available Monday-Friday, except holidays, with a next business day response objective. The Warranty is good until 2011-06-06.

There is one defect on this laptop which in no way affects it's performance or use. It has some marks on the outside of the LCD lid. I include a new screen bezel and you can replace the lid if you wish ($40 from ebay). Other than the marks on the top lid, it is cosmetically excellent.

Great warranty, lots of extras!

I will be sending this to eBay in a couple of days. If so, I will be selling off any of the extras first that I can - if anyone is interested in battery (4 or 8 cell), pen (works but pocket clip is broken), screen bezel (new), 1 GB ram, or ultrabase w DVD/CDRW, send me an email.

I have this machine listed now on eBay, the auction will go live at 17:00 Eastern time. It has a Buy It Now of $589 with everything except the extra 8 cell battery. If someone from the board still wants this tablet, I will sell it to you prior to auction going live -- including the extra 8 cell battery for $580 shipped insured. The 8 cell has 14 cycles on it, the 4 cell has 33. Both are still charging up to original capacity and both are OEM near new.

Otherwise, look for this great Thinkpad in auction.
