This is a USED Thinkpad R61 model 7732-CTO with Intel T7100 1.8Ghz Core2Duo cpu, 1.5Gb memory, 60Gb hard drive, BlueTooth, wifi, DVD/CDRW drive, Vista Home Premium preloaded with COA sticker and recovery partition intact. Good cosmetic condition except for scratches and scuffs on lid. Includes ac-adapter and good battery 41.39Wh (56.16Wh design). Warranty good until: 2010-07-04. Asking $450 via paypal shipped UPS ground to continental USA. Will eBay if no interest here.

Hate to be vulgar, but I've had a few bad experiences on eBay, so:

1) Is the OS installed the same type/version as the COA, and under the same PK# as the COA?

2) Is there a complete set of Serial# stickers on the bottom of this machine, ie Lenovo SN, and the WiFi+Ethernet SNs w/MAC addresses?

3) Is there a full set of Complete Untamperted-with #s for
a) System-Unit Serial Number
b) System Board Serial Number
and
c) UUID
present in the BIOS screen? (F1 on POST/Boot)

4) What is the Graphics Chip?

5) Except for the Windows PK# obviously, can you either list or provide digipics of said Serial #s and UUIDs?


btw, I don't know if/how long you can wait b/c my current situation, but if it has the right specs, this machine would be EXACTLY the type I'm looking for, for a good machine $375 shipped sounds fine, and I Would pay it.

Apologies in advance if my situation does not fix itself soon enough for sale.

The restore partition is Windows Vista Premium as is the COA. I restored from the restore partition. If you are asking about Product Key matching... it wouldn't match from the sticker because IBM/Lenovo don't use the product key from the sticker. They use some sort of manufacturer's one that doesn't require activation that they bulk install. If you wanted to use the sticker you would probably need to call Microsoft because they usually don't activate normally. If you gave an eBay seller a hard time about Product Keys not matching from a preinstalled Thinkpad then you were probably in the wrong.

The stickers are intact. There is a small piece of sticker that is missing from the PN/SN sticker. But all of the numbers are intact.

The PN/SN in the bios matches the sticker and the System board serial number and UUID are present, other than that I don't know what you mean about tampered with.

Graphics chip is intel 965

Good to know about the bulk install PK# thing! -Some of the OSs & Apps I've seen on eBay were hacked/torrent/warez ones that were different type/version that didn't come with the machine and weren't legit.

The SN+UUIDs I've seen tampered with via eBay (no photos in the listing, not disclosed):
All stickers except for Win COA ripped off the bottom.
System Unit Serial Number in BIOS defaced to incomplete status.
System Board Serial Number in BIOS deleted completely.
UUID in BIOS zeroed out completely.

FYI, this is NOT eBay.

We do not allow stuff like that around here.

And tselling is a well-known and trusted seller both here and on feebay...speaking from personal experience, you can't go wrong with a ThinkPad that originated from her...
