Any warranty left or can the warranty be extended?

Warranty just expired. Didn't even check to see if it could be extended. I don't usually buy extended warranties on electronics. When my buddy gets back from China I will ask him about the warranty. He works for Lenovo and got me this laptop. It was a return that the box had been opened but not used so they classified it as a refurb and he got it for me.
