WTB: R40 ram (up to 1 Giga)

#1 Post by ashat » Sat Jan 30, 2010 11:26 am

I would like to put to the maximum (1Gb) the ram of my R40 - 2681-F7G, currently with one stick of 256Mb.
Both with 2x512Mb, ora 1Gb stick.
Is it correct that the type should be PC2100 DDR S.O. Dimm? Or even PC2700 would fit?

How much I am going to spend for this?
If this model of RAM is currently too expensive, I would be satisfied with one 512Mb stick to add to the current stick of 256Mb.

I am in Italy, Rome, and eventually I am able to pay only by a Visa Electron circuit compatible card.

Maximum for that machine is actually 2GB, both PC 2100 and PC2700 will work.

isn't 2Gb the maximum for 2681 Pentium M machines?

2681-F7G is a Pentium 4-M 2GHz machine, isn't it?

does it mean is a Pentium M or a Pentium 4? Confused :)

I've had more than 1GB in several R40 units that were P4M based and am speaking from experience.

Just found this on Ebay.

Is this module likely to be compatible with my R40- 2681-F7G?
