This is a great little portable, and has been serving me for some time. Lenovo lists the specs as follows, and unless aliens stole my computer and upgraded it, this is what you shall recieve.
P M 1.2GHz LV, 512MB RAM, 40GB 4200rpm HDD, 12.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, Intel Extreme, IBM 802.11b/g wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), Secure Chip, 8 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro
I added a 512MB ram module also for a total of 1GB of ram.
It has the original AC adapter and battery which has about 75% of it's capacity, as well as a third party 5200mAh battery that works great and is probably about 90% capacity (hardly used) and a third party micro 1900mAh battery that has great capacity (95% I'd bet) as it was nearly never used. The micro battery fits flush to the case. You get all these batteries for extended road time, no picking and choosing here!
Items of note: You can swap the HD for a 16GB High speed UDMA capable Compact Flash card I have. This is your call, but I imagine it would speed up things a little. I used it for a bit but found the capacity a tad too tight. It would probably scream on a lean and mean XP/linux install.
Regarding cosmetics, the unit itself has been babied and even the keyboard has minimal shine. It has a small scratch across the ibm logo but is overall in excellent condition. It's in great shape honestly, better than most you'll get, minus one detail. One day my dad decided to try to clean a some sticker residue off the ram cover with "goo-off." It peeled the finish right off, and thus it has been repainted. The black nearly matches, it doesn't stand out, and is pretty resilient. If you want you could probably find another ram cover easily.
Oh, and there is no recovery patition. It was wiped long ago, unfortunately, and I have no disks to restore it. You will be buying an OSless thinkpad (I can load Ubuntu Linux on there, as that's what I've been running and it works great, but that's about all I can offer)
Asking $185 shipped to anywhere in the United States. I'll also ship to Canada, but you'll pay actual shipping which I will bill you via paypal invoice.
If you aren't comfortable buying from me, look me up on ebay under the name bcomputerconsulting. I'll be happy to do the transaction there, for what it's worth!
