R60 IPS Price Check

I was thinking about selling my R60, just cause I'd like something smaller, and I'd like to see what's a fair price for it to see if it's worth it to sell it. It has been upgraded to a SXGA+ flexview. Overall it's in excellent shape, I'd say at least 9/10. There's hardly a mark on it, just a slight shine on a few keys and the touchpad. It does not go out often. The IPS is clear and bright with no dead or stuck pixels. The machine is under on-site warranty until May of this year, which could be extended, though the fact I've had it completely ripped apart may muddle things a bit. I also have the Advanced Mini Dock to throw in since I won't need it any longer.
T7400
3GB
500GB 7200RPM
15" SXGA+ IPS
X1300
BD-R
OS - XP Pro
Advanced Mini Dock
One note, when I got the machine the COA was not attached well, so I peeled it off. The machine came without a hard drive so there's no recovery partition or recovery discs. I did note the COA key before discarding it and would pass it along. I would be willing to pull the BD-R drive and adjust the price accordingly if someone didn't want it. Anyone want to take a guess as to the value. Thanks for any help.

I just can't believe you're thinking of selling your R60...You've been the R-series guru for so long.......
Good luck if you sell it...
Ron
P.S. I'm waiting for a R60 laptop now!!

You're trading your Z for an R? I always liked the Zs a lot. I just want to figure out a fair price for my R60. If I'm only going to get $300 for it in today's market, then it's not worth it for me to sell it, but if I can get $500, then perhaps I'll move it. I really like my R60, but it's heavy when I need mobility. I'd like to get an X with a dock so I can plug it in at home, but it's light on the road. I thought about getting a second machine, but I only need one and it's not good to be greedy.
A guru I am not. I've been saved by people here many a time.

I know that you're not going to like what I'm about to say...
You'll get the most money by parting out the machine. As sad as it may sound, that is reality.
What you have is an almost-ultimate R6x FrankenPad, plug and play. The only problem is - like with any FrankenPad - finding another person whose taste matches yours.
Phenomenally sounding machine altogether.
Best of luck with the sale.

I have to agree with George, the R60 is a fine machine (and your machine is maxed out). But in today's market,it's going to extremely difficult to get top dollar for it.

If you're including the BD-R in the $500 price, then I think you could get that.
The best bet may be to sell off a some parts (2GB RAM stick, 500GB HDD, T7400, BD-R), then back fill with basic parts and sell the machine in the $250 - $300 range with close to the original specs but with the nice LCD upgrade. That should put you at or over $500, too.
It is a ncie machine as you've built it up.

Thanks for the replies. If I want to extract every possible dollar, you're probably right that parting it out is the way to go. I'm not really concerned with getting the absolute max. If I could get a decent amount for it, I'd be happy. Plus I don't have a lot of extra parts laying around. I'd have to go find them, which takes time and effort. Maybe I'll just throw it up for $499 to see if I attract any interest. If it doesn't get any takers, I can look at parting some of it out. Thanks again.
