Another find while cleaning my garage. This is a 570 base which I had planned on attaching to a panel to make a digital picture frame. Never got around to it.
Product: ThinkPad 570 2644-1AU
Original description:
PII 333MHz (256KB)
64MB RAM --> Now 128MB.
4.0GB --> None, but HDD cover is included!
13.3 XGA TFT --> Removed along with lid/hinges.
56K(Int) --> Don't remember if that's still there. I believe this was an mPCI card and I had planned to put Wifi in.
Win98 --> No COA
Details: RAM cover missing, CMOS battery attached but plastic holder missing, 1/2" hole drilled through palmrest. keyboard looks decent, missing various screws.
Anyone want to take this as a project? $15 shipped USA (medium flat rate box).
03/18/2010 Edit: I found some LCD cables and inverters. Not sure whether they work or not. Most were pulls. Cost of shipping for anyone that wants to try and fix the "white screen" problem these machines had.
04/12/2010 Edit: LCD cables taken. 570 Base still available.
