Hi all,
I just got a Thinkpad 701cs "butterfly" yesterday, what a cool and amazing piece of engineering!
486DX4-75, 40M ram, 2.1G HDD, external floppy, boots and runs Win98.
I'd like to try putting some other Os'es on it (I have a copy of OS/2 Warp 4 I'm curious about), but I need a PCMCIA CD-ROM drive to do that.
I'd prefer an IBM one but any would work, LMK what you have.
UPDATE
After working on it last night, I found I also need a CMOS battery.
Also, I'm having a hard time finding the HWM, Lenovo doesn't list it anymore.
Help me get this piece of history usable again!
BTW, it came with the original owners manual in great condition I don't need. maybe we can trade.
Thanks!
