Up for grabs is my personal X60s unit. It's been a lot of fun, but its services are no longer required...
the basics:
ThinkPad X60s 1703-BW3
Original description: Based on 1703-3QU:
L2400(1.66GHz),
2GB RAM..................now 1GB (2x512 MB)
60GB 5400rpm HD..........please read below
12.1in 1024x768 LCD
Intel 950
Intel 802.11abg wireless
Bluetooth/Modem
1Gb Ethernet
Secure chip
Fingerprint reader
8c Li-Ion batt.........................in green, holds 52 out of original 74Wah
WinXP Pro...............COA intact
Currently, this ThinkPad has a Toshiba 64GB MLC SSD (THNS064GG2BBAA) installed, and is running Linux Mint 8. It's extremely snappy, and runs much cooler and quieter than it has with the Seagate 7200rpm HDD that I originally had in there.

Although this Toshiba is not by any means a top-of-the-line-SSD, my reasoning for installing it was that one wouldn't get the full benefits of a faster drive due to SATA 1.5 chipset limitation on X60s and other ThinkPads of that era anyway. There is a notable gain in speed and battery life regardless of OS used, I've experienced this in both XP and Linux.
This machine is under "special bid" on-site warranty through April 19th. That gives you more than enough time to sort out any issues that may arise, although it has none at the moment, to the best of my ability to test.
Cosmetically, it's in very good shape, with light wear on the lid and some shine on the most used keys. An extremely presentable unit for most occasions. LCD is by far the brightest one I've ever seen on a X6x machine, and flawless at that.
I'm also including an extra "extended life" base battery (FRU 40Y7904) that holds over 95% of the original charge. AC adapter is a generic 65W one, works very well.
Pricing:
With the SSD installed, I'm asking $475 + shipping at cost almost anywhere in the world.
If you don't want the SSD, you can have it with a Hitachi 120GB/5400 rpm HDD for $350 + shipping.
I shall not sell the SSD by itself, please don't ask.
PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.
