I have been trying to keep this old guy running for my mom -- she only uses it to play Solitaire -- i.e. only takes it out of the garage on Sundays to drive around the block
This has been my practice machine for me to begin to learn the inner workings without too much risk --
1) HDD crashed, so I purchased HDD on the Forum and installed
2) After installing replacement HDD, the screen began to show scratchy horizontal lines, kinda like snow on an old analog TV -- So I replaced the entire lid assembly and added a bluetooth card George included in my purchase
Although the replacement lid/screen/bluetooth worked perfectly, I noticed the Radeon ATI card had a bad/loose connector, and the screen still has 'static' -- I tried to put a small piece of tape on the connection, but connection is still loose, and I'm thinking maybe this is my screen 'static' problem. The wire connectors are good, but one of the connectors on the card is not -- so I'm thinking a replacement ATI Radeon Card with good connectors may help my screen 'static' --
Although the original description says, ATI 7500, I think I remember the ATI Card installed is ATI 9000 -- machine is all put back together at the moment, and I really don't want to take it apart till I am ready to put in a new card --
Anyone have an ATI Radeon Card that works in a T41 available? I can PayPal non-cc funds asap
