hi there...
Not sure how comfortable are you with doing this ......

if the PLUGS are " TYPE I " as shown in this link below.......
http://users.telenet.be/worldstandards/ ... tm#plugs_c

SInce most of the IBM Power Adaptor's are ALREADY 110-240volts capable...Would suggest to do this ,,,,,,,,,,(this is what I do when in Rio etc Argentina).....

I bend the plugs (the metal parts at the end of (current usa plugs) to an angle that fits the TYPE I sicket - just do tha gently and slowly!

It works nicely an never has ever had a problems for my laptop(s)

BUT i would get your sister to take the 'plug' of the cord to any electrical store and they would be able to give her a "P18" cord that would plug straight back where the other 'use cord' came out off ...

Cheers..

Basically all your sister would need is a plug adapter that can be bought locally. I don’t think it should cost more than $1.00.

They’re also available online and prices vary wildly:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... us-3ads-20

http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Plug-Euro ... B000BMFHLE

Hope that helps.

Cheers
