FS: X301 New, mint with box, dvd/rw, WIN 7, IWS $800 PIX!
Pictures at end of ad.
This unit is brand new. Never used for any work, never taken to work. I did take it out of the box and played with it for a couple weeks during the evening after I got home from work. Never took the unit out of my bedroom or even off of my desk except to put it back in the box. Plus I am a perfectionist, and would not allow a new TP to get scathed in any way. I was given a x200 tablet and I prefer that, even though the x301 has a better, quieter keyboard and a brighter screen and a built in optical drive. If I knew the tablet was going to fall into my lap, I would not have bought this unit. After I had both of them there was a time that I thought of keeping both of them, because the x301 has some features that I like that the x200t doesn't have...but now I realize the hassle of two computers is too much trouble. I was also enamored with the light weight and thinness of the x301, and the coolness of it as well. I am taking a huge bath on this, and you are getting a great deal. These cost over $2,000 from Lenovo, and nothing less than $1,600 anywhere else that I know of. I bought it at christmas time. It has maybe 40 hours of use on it. My best guess. Less than 2 days of use in terms of hours! It has no visible signs of use whatsoever. No scratches, no corners worn down, no glossy keys, this is the real deal. A new TP for 1/2 price. It doesn't have any of the rubberized coating worn down on the corners. That is the first sign of use for a TP. The corners get the most friction on the smallest surface area, and the rubber coating comes off of the corners. This long description is an attempt to answer questions before they are asked. I have no pictures of it. If you need to know what it looks like go to lenovo website. If you require pictures to verify condition I will take them for you prior to you sending the money. You tell me what pix you need and I take them. My camera is only 3 megapixels but that should be fine for this. Probably more pixels than your monitor has anyway.
And the most technologically advanced too, with its
sub 3 lb. weight,
su processor (uses 10 watts max, as opposed to around 30 watts for a regular processor),
carbon fiber construction (exotic, lightweight, strong)
incredible thinness (less than 1” )
built in optical drive.
Weighs nothing, yet it is a real computer. Not a net-book. Makes no noise and no heat. There are no plans to update this model. This is the updated one. X300 was the previous one, without the digital av output. This one has the digital av output, called a displayport. audio and video in one cord. Also, you can put in the wusb module too, or the 3.5g cellular modem, or whatever you want. Please read the specifications. The answer to most questions are on the spec list. Also, you can go to lenovo support website and type in the model # msu2777, and they have a specifications chart too.
The unit had the 1 year depot warranty when I bought it. So that would be over at christmas time next christmas. It is upgradable to 3 years with or without damage insurance, and with or without in home service. This is a no brainer. Even if something went wrong with the unit they would fix it. And the bios has not been locked. You can select your own lock key for that. Some used TP's have locked bios and to get it unlocked you need a new mother board and it is not covered under warranty.

Re: FS: X301 New in box. $800 firm
good price.
however I won't call it brand new in box since it has indeed been used for quite some time.
Also no ones knows if there will be an x301 successor yet, so it's too early to conclude.

Re: FS: X301 New in box. $800 firm
Couple of questions:
1) Does it have an optical drive? If so, what type?
2) Do you have any pictures?
3) What's the warranty status of the machine? Is it IWS-elligible? Can the warranty be upgraded?
Also, you might want to amend the thread title since it's not actually new in box...
Cheers!

Looks like a great machine, but you need to read the rules (number 7) regarding your pics:

Good luck with the sale!

Wow, I'm still rather surprised this hasn't sold yet. Was actually thinking about this one.
