LOOKING TO PURCHASE A T-40 IMB THINKPAD

I have a 2nd laptop that I use for emails and web surfing. It is a T-40. I am now having issues with the machine and I would like to purchase a used one.

My criteria is pretty simple.

It needs to be an IBM thinkpad machine.
512 KB ram (min.)
40 GB hard drive (min).
Software - Windows XP (presumably) min.
All other - in general good repair including appearance.

My budget is $150.00 to $200.00.

Does anyone have a machine that will find my needs?

I am willing to trade back my existing machine to make the deal (without the hard drive). My machine is excellence in appearance and the keyboard is fine. I have had an issue with it where the monitor goes black until the machine is rebooted. This all started when the machine crapped out generally speaking. I do not know if it is a hardware issue or a software issue.

Thanks. Walt.

Your problem is the GPU coming loose.
It needs reflowing/reballing of the GPU and maybe also of the Southbridge to fix. Plenty of posts about it. Cheaper than replacing the laptop...
