I totally agree! If purchased by mail, the postage alone would be at least $10. To get a laptop for less than $55, you (gb) should search locally to avoid paying postage.

A great alternative would be a desktop. It's not that hard to find one for free these days. For example, I am typing on a 2.0GHz Pentium 4 Dell Dimension 8200 that I got for free.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP

I was able to find few machines in my range from forum members. all laptops under 1Ghz are getting obsolete very fast so it should not be impossible to buy from people who want to get rid of old machines.

And becasue I didn't buy from RealBlackStuff for his ridiculous $150 you didn't have to post my PM messages on the open forum!!! (that why they called "Private" )

Ridiculous?

T23, 1.13GHz, 14.1" XGA, ethernet, modem, 40GB HD, 512MB RAM, 72W AC adapter, battery:
$130.- each.
As above, but with built-in wifi: $150.- each.
All machines are in great working condition, are very presentable, and none have any issues that I'm aware of.
Shipping will be extra and calculated once I know the quantity and destination.

listen, I am not trying to pick up a fight here...
My point is... I didn't ask for opinion on this matter, just asked if anybody have older laptops to sell. You made you offer and I declined because it is out of my price range, so you should just move on without making big deal out of it.

I do not think it is a good practice to publish someone PM messages in the open forum without my consent.
