I'm looking to buy a clean, fully working, 486 era Thinkpad to run some DOS programs with critical serial communication timing requirements.

That is a 380 series and those are all Pentiums 150 and later.

http://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/thinkpadspecs.html Shows the processors for all the older Thinkpads.

I think I have a spare 365C but it might be missing the floppy eject button, PM if you are interested.

My preference would be a 755 CE, CV or CX. I was never too thrilled with the keyboard on the 760s.
