FS: X41t Tablets - 1.6GHz@$135

I picked up two more X41 Tablet systems that are now ready to sell. I have replaced the IBM preload (that runs very slow) with a special preload (as described on this forum). I have thoroughly tested these systems and guarantee them to not be D.O.A. I will support any immediately occurring problems as best I can.

Unless noted, each Thinkpad X41t comes with:
Genuine IBM battery (8-cell) - good, GREEN condition
Genuine IBM AC adapter
802.11a/b/g WiFi
BlueTooth modem
Windows XP Pro Tablet C.O.A.
Bright 12" XGA LCD
X6x Tablet pen which sticks out 1/4" more from the base

Condition:
The casing will vary but will always be in very good to excellent condition unless otherwise noted. There will be no broken plastics, keyboards will show minimal to no wear; the screen will be very clean with no dead or stuck pixels.

I currently have four systems for sale:
$135 -- X41-C5 -- 1869-CSU, 1.6GHz, 20G/4200 HDisk, 1G/PC4200, no battery, cracked lid corners (UL and UR) - performance not affected
$135 -- X41-C6 -- 1869-CSU, 1.6GHz, 20G/4200 HDisk, 1G/PC4200, no battery, cracked lid corners (worse than C5) - no lid latch - performance unaffected
SOLD -- X41-C8 -- 1866-A23, 1.5GHz, 60G/4200 HDisk, 1G/PC4200
SOLD -- X41-C9 -- 1866-A23, 1.5GHz, 60G/4200 HDisk, 1G/PC4200

I purchased an X41t a few months back and have 2 people who are looking for them. I see these come with XP Pro COA, do you include a copy of the Preload software? I have the 7 disk preload from my x41t would a copy of that suffice for restoring these? And do you still have 2 Left?

Yes, I still have two left. Both of them have damage to the lid corners and don't look cosmetically good - but I've tested them and they function perfectly fine. If you want pictures, PM me your email ID. I was sortof hoping to keep one for myself (I've used it quite a bit myself to verify there aren't any problems) but will sell them both if someone wants them.

I don't include the preload as the preload is really sluggish. I do load up all of the Windows updates and IBM/Lenovo drivers - all up to date. I provide links to a lot of the Tablet software but don't really install anything - instead allow users to decide what they want themselves.

I picked up two more X41t/1.5GHz systems. Also, I don't have enough batteries nore 60G hard-drives so have reduced the two 1.6GHz systems that had cracked corners. PM me if interested.

One more sold here on the forum. Two to go -- These are the cosmetically damaged systems .. but they work fine. Unfortunately, I don't have larger drives for them - just a 20G.

I can vouch that Bob has earned all the positive feedback that he's already received from other members over the years. I recently bought one of his X41T 1.5 GHz tablets and it was in great condition - much better condition of the plastics than I had expected, little keyboard shine, like-new battery, and the screen is bright and flawless (and I'm picky with my IPS screens - I also own a T60p UXGA). The only complaint I have was that there was some scratches on the rubberized lid (a common characteristic of old ThinkPads though) and there are some tough-to-remove stickers on the bottom of the machine (most likely from its time as a corporate lease machine).

The transaction was smooth and fast, and he communicated with me promptly and professionally. When I let Bob know that my machine was missing some screws from the bottom, he mailed them to me that very same day. Bob stands by his machines, and I heartily recommend him!
